Tonight me and Chris had steak for supper and he cooked it perfectly!
the Dr. told me my iron was low so i decided instead of taking two iron pills today, i would take one iron pill and have a giant steak instead!

i love going to The Keg and 360 to eat. i like getting The Classic at the Keg, although i must say i never even come close to finishing it. The Keg has great dry spareribs they are not on the menu for some strange odd reason but let me tell you they are quite delish.
i also love the cheesecake at The Keg. it is a whipped cheesecake. it hits your mouth with complete confidence and before you know it......its gone (order it with caramel sauce instead of cherries). i like going to 360 because they serve weird stuff like.....gnocchi, duck, oh and they cook with wine which is a HUGE weakness for me, it just tastes so good!

BUT
to have this lovely little experience i have to put a comb through my hair and venture out into the cold....and drop 75-100 bucks. The combing of hair..needed. The cold....well that is to be expected but since when does half a date cost 100 bucks, that doesnt even include an overpriced movie and a babysitter.
SO
this morning i headed to the trusty MERC and bought me some steaks.. marinaded them in a lovely marinade, and had a lovely conversation with my husband over supper.
SO
the end result
out 13 dollars, no biggie. didnt have to eat with 40 other people at the keg. clean up was a jif. didnt have to pay for a babysitter.
and YES i have decided to give MYSELF the tip.....
Complete Satisfaction!!!

LOVE those kinds of nights! THE BEST :) So I just read all your "randoms" and loved them!!! I am SO with you on the burnt toast, dieting, and keeping up with the Jones'... MY KIND OF GIRL! I think if we lived closer we would be friends.. JUST SAYING! You are such a cute preggo!!!
I LOVE that all your posts are about food right now... I feel like you're personally just trying to torture me with food that I can not have (although we did find a Keg in Denver and just took some friends there a couple of weeks ago... I was the biggest nerd and kept telling everyone that would listen that The Keg was Canadian and I hadn't been in years and I was so so so excited).
I would totally go for a huge steak over iron pills any day... Love it.
my mouth is watering right now, and if dust had a cell, i'd be telling him to pick up some steaks on the way home! mmmmm :)
hahaha! i loved each and every moment of reading this post.. although i must say i was suprised over the price of those puppies. that is a steal of a deal at the merc. i remember paying 6 pucks for a block of butter. go merc!
