oreo cookies

ever since i brought Parks into this world i have wanted nothing but sugar. i am constantly making sweet treats and it NEEDS to STOP. but these homemade oreo cookies had me at hello. if cooked right they are so moist. anything with creamcheese on or in it is a winner to me. there are many variations to this recipe but this is the one that i use. dont pay any attention to the cup of oil, block of creamcheese, or the 4 cups of icing sugar it is SO worth it. i hope you enjoy these if you have not already!

Oreo Cookies
2 pkg devils food cake
1 cup canola oil
4 eggs
mix well and roll into small balls. bake at 350 for 10-12 min. ice cookies when completely cool.

filling: 8 oz softened cream cheese
1\2 cup margarine
4 cups icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
when i make these i use just a bit less icing sugar. i used inbetween 3-4 cups. i like to taste the cream cheese and i find too much sugar just makes it taste too sweet. i also dont put the almond extract in, i like the taste i just dont have any.when cooking watch the cookies, i cook mine for about 9 min. as soon as the cookies start to crack on the top they are ready to be taken out. the cookies should be nice and chewey. remember too not cook them too long. oh, here is another seller these cookies freeze very well. just bag them in ziplocs and pull one out when you need a quick fix. either let the thaw on the counter or pop them in the micro for about 5 seconds. ENJOY!

I have this EXACT same recipe and we love/hate each other. They are SO delicious and I try not to bake them too much. I'm sensing that you are a baker/cooker extraordinaire? Excellent.
